 Barfest Festulolium

 

Festulolium is a unique forage grass genetically developed from a hybrid cross between perennial tetraploid ryegrass and improved meadow fescue.

 

The results:

·        High Yield capacity

·        Disease resistance

·        Excellent palatability and digestability

·        Fast recovery

·        Rust resistance

·        Excellent germination and seedling vigor

 

Primarily used for dairy, beef and sheep pasture.  It is commonly seeded with white clover.

 

Trials at Ohio State University in 2001 indicate that festulolium may have better winter survivability than perennial ryegrass in Ohio.
